Bettina Becker (she/her) is the Assistant Director for Peer Assisted Learning (PAL). Bettina received her M.A. in German from the University of Iowa and her M.S. in College Student Affairs from Eastern Illinois University. She was born and raised in Germany and has studied/worked and lived all over the United States. She previously worked as a faculty member at The University of North Texas, The University of Dallas, Eastern Illinois University, and the school of The Little Rock Nine, Little Rock Central High School.

Bettina is passionate about pedagogy, the art of teaching, and social justice and equity in education. In her current role as Assistant Director for PAL, her goal is to bring the love of teaching to the program’s Peer Leaders. She also likes getting involved with the campus community to promote opportunities for students to engage as active learners and to succeed in their educational goals.

In her free time, Bettina likes spending time with her family and two dogs, cooking/baking, and being outdoors.
