Rasheda Sykes, MA

Rasheda Sykes (she/her/hers) is the Senior Associate Director of Learning Strategies in the University Center for Academic Excellence. She works collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students to develop learning and outreach initiatives to serve the needs of a changing student population. Rasheda has over twenty years of experience in student development, and is known as an engaging presenter and trainer in her field. For eight years, she served as Academic Coordinator for the Upward Bound Programs at Johnson C. Smith University. Rasheda received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Master of Arts in School Counseling, and a Graduate Certificate in Africana Studies from UNC Charlotte. In addition to her role at UNC Charlotte, Rasheda is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach.
