Abstract: Academic wellness is a key component of overall well-being, encompassing students’ ability to effectively engage in learning and maintain a healthy balance between educational responsibilities and personal life. From a social work perspective, academic success is deeply influenced by social, emotional, environmental, and systemic factors. This presentation explores how professional staff members can support academic wellness by addressing barriers to success. Drawing on core social work frameworks, this presentation highlights how professionals can promote resilience, empowerment, and equitable educational opportunities. Participants will gain practical strategies for assessing academic wellness and implementing interventions that foster supportive learning environments, emphasizing the importance of advocacy and interdisciplinary partnerships.
