Peer Coaching

Success Guides are trained UNC Charlotte Students matched with their peers to provide academic support throughout the semester. The program is FREE to enroll and continue throughout the semester and your time at Charlotte!

Success Guides serve as accountability partners to ensure you are up to date on your assignments. They also provide peer coaching to help peers strengthen academic skills like time management, exam preparation, and note-taking. They can help you to troubleshoot issues in your classes and to become more connected to campus through both people and resources. In bi-weekly check-ins, they provide reminders about University deadlines, events happening on campus, and share study tips.

I am a second-year graduate student in the Masters of Social Work program. My passions are in mental health care and equitable access to resources for underrepresented populations. I did my undergrad at UNC Chapel Hill and studied Psychology, Education, and Social and Economic Justice. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors and hiking, painting, rock climbing, and seeking out new experiences! Fun fact: I have a cat named Trash!

I’m in my second semester in the Masters of Public Health program, and have an interest in mental health in the justice system and policy change. I did my undergrad at UNC Chapel Hill in Psychology, and am a big basketball and football fan! In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors (reading, hiking, swimming, soaking in the sun(!), finding new plants to decorate my house, hosting friends, and finding great food spots around Charlotte. I can’t wait to meet you and help you build the skills necessary to accomplish all your goals!

I am a second-year graduate student in the Master of Counseling program at UNC Charlotte. My aspiration is to become a school counselor to serve and increase representation for Latino/x, BIPOC, and other underrepresented communities. For my undergraduate studies, I earned a bachelor’s degree in Management and Society from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In my free time, I enjoy exploring new foods and restaurants around the city, as well as attending concerts to enjoy live music!
